Gong Chan Shik (Hangul: 공찬식; hanja: 孔燦植; born August 14, 1993), better known by his stage name Gongchan, is a South Korean idol and maknae, vocalist, and visual of boy band B1A4. He made his idol debut on the stage of MBC Show! Music Core on April 23, 2011.

Pre-DebutEdit

Gongchan was also discovered on Cyworld as a result of his winning of an "Eoljjang Challenge" when he was in middle school. He was also a runner-up of a cross-dressing contest while, where he danced to a song by soloist Ivy. He then underwent a training period of two years.

B1A4Edit

After two years of training, Gongchan joined as the vocalist, maknae, and visual of B1A4. On April 11, 2011, WM Entertainment revealed Gongchan as the third member to be revealed after releasing the teaser pictures of B1A4's Jinyoung and Baro. Sandeul and CNU were revealed the next two days.

On April 20, 2011, B1A4 released their debut track O.K. and mini-album, Let's Fly, making their debut on April 23, 2011 on MBC Show! Music Core.
